Duncan Anderson

Duncan has worked in many countries around the world, from South America to the Far East, and this has given him an insight into the needs of expatriates worldwide.

After working in the Oil industry, he moved into the financial services in 1987 whilst in the UK. He quickly became one of the top advisers in the UK financial services field and went on to start an independent brokerage in 1996.

In 2003, he formed Portfolio Builders as he wanted to provide high quality advice to the expatriate market in Singapore under the supervision of the MAS and the newly enacted Financial Services Act. In November 2005, Portfolio Builders was granted a Capital Markets license by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and he then set about expanding the company. The criteria he set for recruitment was honesty, integrity, ethics and hard work, and was more concerned about the quality of advice than quantity of business.

Duncan has two children and two grandchildren, all of whom live in the UK. His interests include photography and golf.
